I'm being completely lame today. I posted over at GoingLoopy's today. Go and read it if you're in the mood to be depressed. I wasn't depressed or sad when I wrote it, but that's how it came out.
If I know you personally and haven't invited you here -- well, there's a reason for that, so kindly go on back to whichever part of my life you belong in. Trust me, this is for your own good. Thank you.

And you did a fine job, too!
As you know, I'm pretty new to your blog, but that's the best stuff I've read of yours so far. I didn't find it at all depressing; if anything, it was revealing, showing more of your history and the type of person you are.
When I awake you will be gone
Shady tomorrow
I want to go where will you be
So I'll stay home
Letting my hair grow long
And I will be waiting for you
The fire burns summer is gone
Winter is sorrow
And time don't mean nothing to me
When only the hours
Listen to you my songs
And I will be walking in dew
And I will be waiting for you
Some people say
Love goes away
Like mine
The roses red for your cheeks
I will borrow
And find a place for you to see
A sash of blue
Tells me your love is strong
Each spring my life's starting anew
And I will be waiting for you
That was a great post. Even if it made me sad! :)
Smed - Thanks.
Mr. Schprock - Oh crap...I don't want to give anything away! ;-)
Smed Redux - Nice song - is that the Byrds song I don't know? ;-)
Heather - Thanks.
I didn't find it depressing either. It was a well written piece, and Joe would have been proud. Sorry for your loss.
Indeed (re: Smed's comment!). And I can't believe I didn't comment on the scarf thing. Are you really knitting me a scarf? That's incredible. I am now going to go back and make everybody else who filled out my survey send me the things they said they'd give me for my birthday! Hurrah!
I think it's cool that you associate songs with important people in your life. I didn't find it depressing, just insightful. Now if only I were a psychiatrist... ;P
Kat,
I haven't had a chance to read your blog yet, but from your entry at Loopy's, I'm guessing you are in Michigan also? I'm from Midland, been here all my life! I look forward to reading you! P.S. You were really close on the spelling of my name!
