AFI's top movies

Julieu listed AFI's Top 100 Movies and bolded the ones she has seen. I figured it was a pretty good idea, so I'm totally stealing the idea from her.

99. GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER (1967)
100. YANKEE DOODLE DANDY (1942)

I think I need to work on the others, but some of them I simply have zero interest in seeing them, like any sort of mob movie, i.e., The Godfather movies or Goodfellas, or anything with John Wayne in it. I've seen The Quiet Man and that is the extent of my John Wayne movies. I know people who love him absolutely love him, but I've seen bits and pieces of Rooster Cogburn and others and he's no Clint Eastwood. ;-)

Good grief. I'm seriously behind on my movie-watching. I've only seen about 5 of those movies.

Correction: 13 of them. Still pretty pathetic, though.

I've seen 23 of 'em. THE WIZARD OF OZ, SCHINDLER'S LIST, STAR WARS, ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST, THE GRAPES OF WRATH (watched in school), E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL, DR. STRANGELOVE, APOCALYPSE NOW, THE GODFATHER PART II (but not part 1...weird), TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD (school again), WEST SIDE STORY (one more for school), A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, JAWS, SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS, ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT (boy we watched a lot of movies in class), FANTASIA, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND, THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, FORREST GUMP, FARGO, GOODFELLAS, and PULP FICTION.

One of these days I'm going to watch Casablanca. I wanted to see Chinatown and a bunch of others, but I just watched the AFI 100 greatest movie quotes on Bravo the other day, and half the quotes spoil the ending of the movies.

Wow. I've seen more than half of those movies. I stopped counting after 44.
I'm crazy about movies. I liked AFI list of the scariest movie moments. I had nightmares after just watching the clips on Bravo!
