This Year Can't Get Any Worse
I was really really really hoping to give you all good news, but my beloved Grandma aka Shortstuff passed away last Wednesday morning early. I knew she doesn't doing well when I left Tuesday night (around 1:00 a.m., so I guess it was really Wednesday morning), but I wasn't expecting the phone call from the YS around 3:35 a.m. saying that Grandma was going...her breathing was shallow. Not even five minutes later, she called me to say that Grandma was gone.
The rest of the week is pretty much a blur of family, funeral home, airport, church, cemetery and condo (Grandma's). I'm exhausted and beyond sad.
Thank you for all your prayers and hugs and good thoughts. They meant the world to me.

I'm sorry to hear this sad news, Kat. I hope that your family's sorrow will soon give way to the joy of happier memories of a life well lived.
Sweetie, I'm so very sorry. She was a grand lady and really one of a kind. I hope your many happy memories are a comfort to you at this sad time. Sending you lots of love and hugs.

My belated condolences. I don't get around like I used to. I know you loved her very much, and you have many warm memories to look back upon.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandma.
You know, i had to leave detroit for similar reasons as to what took her in the end. There's not a day when i don't wish i could still be walking around Farmington or Ann Arbor.
But, i have the memories to cherish, and those, like the love your grandma gave you, can never die.
So sorry for the loss of your grandma.
